Description
We help to guide your baby through his/her stages of development – rolling, sitting up, weaning and then those all-important first steps into our toddlers’ rooms, where they will join our Tweenies. Your child will be nurtured in a caring environment where learning, sharing, cooperating, movement and language skill development naturally progress at each child’s pace.
Your child will thoroughly enjoy our:
• soft play area (the largest in the region)
• professional theatre team who use puppetry and acting in story-telling
• mud kitchen
• children’s bike area
• flowerbeds
• children’s themed summer houses
• yoga (for under-twos)
• sand pit
• water play area
• Small World toys
• pretend house
• vast array of toys.
Outings that support children’s development stages
We take our children on plenty of outings which align with the development plans for each individual; for example, visiting our local farm, merry-go-round, Christmas lights display, library, 360 soft play centre and water park. We also regularly take children on nature walks and shopping trips to buy the things they need for creative activities, so they understand a little more about how life works.
Plenty of healthy food throughout the day
We are particularly fortunate to have a chef, who used to be a nursery nurse, who provides the children with age–appropriate and delicious meals and snacks throughout the day. She also works with the older children, helping them learn about cookery and nutrition, international dishes and decorating cakes, in our onsite kitchen.
Getting you involved
Events: We invite parents to plenty of events hosted by the children at Ashbourne Day Nursery, including egg hunts, our special hat parade, a Mother’s Day tea and Father’s Day bacon butty breakfast.
Daily multimedia communication techniques: We send you a link to information about what your child’s been doing that day, 30 minutes before your usual collection time. This facility also enables us to send you the occasional photo, or even movie file, so you don’t miss out on your child’s special moments.
Come and watch
Some parents, particularly in the early days, like to come and discreetly watch how their children get on. We have a viewing area which you can use at any time during the day, so you can see your children play and learn, undisturbed.
