Some of the toddlers who started life at Anderton Day Nursery are now themselves adults! Established in 1983, the philosophy is that children should learn through play and there is a developing structure starting when they are just a few weeks old and going through to the age of eleven. From the Baby Room they progress to the “tiddlers” group and from there to “middles” when they are 2-3 years old. The next step is Pre-School where learning through play continues but within the clearly defined boundaries of the Six Areas of Learning. At Anderton Day Nursery they believe that every child should have the opportunity to develop to their own individual potential.
